I’m Evan Avtal, a director of photography based in Los Angeles with 15+ years behind the camera. I shoot commercials, music videos, branded content, and narrative work — the kind of images that make people stop scrolling.
My commercial work includes Nike, Ferrari, Pirelli, Vans, Saint Laurent, Nahmias, Young LA, Walmart, Ollie, and Kevin’s Natural Foods. Music videos for Snoop Dogg, Offset, Lil Baby, Black Eyed Peas, and more. Narrative credits include Universal’s “The Last Voyage of the Demeter,” “Ted” on Peacock, and the “Argylle” promo directed by Matthew Vaughn.
I own and operate an ARRI Alexa Mini LF package with an extensive vintage lens collection, so the camera department shows up dialed — no rental-house roulette, no surprises on the day.
Directors and producers hire me for a strong visual point of view and a calm, fast-moving set. I light for the story, move the camera with intent, and deliver footage that cuts.
